I am a PhD student in the chair of applied software engineering in the Technische Universität München.  My research lies at the intersection between software engineering, intelligent user interfaces and data mining. Broadly speaking, I am interested in understanding how information technology affects our society and how technology can be used to understand how society works.

For my dissertation I study how software users give feedback to developers and suggest methods for improving how this feedback is processed to give users a stronger voice in the software development process. To this end, I combine techniques from sentiment analysis, data mining and grounded theory to process, analyze, interpret and model data written by users in current feedback systems.
